Estonian figure skater Mihhail Selevko delivered the standout performance of the men\u2019s competition at the 2026 Lombardia Trophy in Bergamo, Italy, taking the ISU Challenger Series title with a new personal best of 260.87 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition was held from 17 to 20 September at the IceLab Arena in Bergamo<\/strong> as part of the 2026\u201327 ISU Challenger Series. The event featured senior men\u2019s and women\u2019s singles as well as ice dance, bringing together skaters from around the world. The Challenger Series gives athletes an important opportunity to compete internationally, earn World Standing points and test their programs during the season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selevko entered the final day in first place after scoring 91.09 points in the short program<\/strong>. He then produced an even stronger free skate, earning 169.78 points<\/strong> \u2014 more than 10 points above his previous personal best of 158.86, which he had set in Zagreb in 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His combined score of 260.87 also represented a major improvement on his previous official personal best of 245.06<\/strong>. The new mark was more than 15 points higher and also comfortably exceeded the 251.91 he had recently recorded at the Tallinn Open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selevko was the highest-scoring skater in both segments and finished the competition more than six points ahead of silver medallist Matvei Vetlugin<\/strong>, who scored 254.53. France\u2019s Corentin Spinar<\/strong> completed the men\u2019s podium with 247.66 points. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result was particularly notable because the men\u2019s field included several international competitors with strong technical content. Vetlugin, competing under a neutral designation, finished second after remaining in that position through both programs. Ukraine\u2019s Kyrylo Marsak moved up to fourth overall after placing third in the free skate, while the United States\u2019 Daniel Martynov finished fifth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
