The win ties a franchise record for most wins to start a season (also achieved in 1993-94 and 2009-10). The Flames join the Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Winnipeg Jets as the only remaining undefeated teams in the NHL.

The Blackhawks, on the other hand, end their season-opening four-game road trip with a 1-2-1 record. Despite a valiant effort, they couldn’t overcome the Flames’ strong defensive play and timely scoring.
