Gaudreau Leads Wild Past Oilers with Two Goals and Assist

Frederick Gaudreau had a big night for the Minnesota Wild, scoring twice and adding an assist in their 5-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. This win extends the Wild’s winning streak to three games.

Kirill Kaprizov also had a strong performance, extending his record-breaking road point streak to 11 games with an assist. Kaprizov’s point streak now includes eight goals and 16 assists.

The Oilers got off to a lucky start with a fluky goal by Leon Draisaitl, but the Wild quickly responded with goals from Matt Boldy and Marcus Foligno. Despite goals from Corey Perry and Jeff Skinner, the Oilers couldn’t keep pace with the Wild’s offense.

Marc-Andre Fleury made a successful return to the net for the Wild, stopping 29 shots. The win improves Minnesota’s record to 13-3-3, while the Oilers fall to 10-9-2.
