Schizas Struggles in Women’s Short Program

Madeline Schizas, representing Canada, had a disappointing performance in the women’s short program, finishing eighth. Errors and inconsistencies marred her skate, preventing her from reaching her full potential.

Schizas will need to significantly improve her performance in the free skate to salvage her chances of qualifying for the Grand Prix Final.

Quebec duo Lajoie and Lagha shine

Canadian ice dancers Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha secured a silver medal in the rhythm dance at the Cup of China. The pair scored 81.53 points, placing them behind Italy’s Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri, who took the top spot.

Despite a less-than-perfect performance at Skate Canada earlier this season, Lajoie and Lagha have shown resilience and consistency. They are aiming to qualify for the Grand Prix Final and continue their strong season.

Glenn Finishes Second in Women’s Short Program

American figure skater Amber Glenn finished second in the women’s short program, narrowly missing the top spot. A mistake on her combination jump cost her valuable points, but she recovered well to secure a solid score of 70.84.

Glenn’s strong performance puts her in contention for a spot at the Grand Prix Final. She will be looking to improve upon her short program in the upcoming free skate.
