Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller has stepped away from the team for personal reasons, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Miller, a key offensive contributor with 6 goals and 10 assists in 17 games this season, will be on indefinite leave. “Right now, our sole focus is making sure that J.T. knows the entire organization is here to support him,” said general manager Patrik Allvin. The Canucks captain, Quinn Hughes, offered his support: “He’s a superstar in the League, so anytime you miss a guy like that, you’re going to feel it. But I have a lot of confidence in the guys we have here.”

While the team isn’t disclosing details on Miller’s absence, they emphasized their support for him. The Canucks will look to other players to step up in Miller’s absence as they continue their homestand against the New York Rangers on Tuesday night.
