French Figure Skater Sidelined by Injury

World bronze medalist Adam Siao Him Fa of France has been forced to withdraw from next week’s Grand Prix Final due to an ankle injury. The 23-year-old sustained the injury during his free skate at the Cup of China last week.

Medical professionals have advised a three-week recovery period. Siao Him Fa expressed his disappointment on social media, stating, “This is of course not what I’d hoped for during the season, but I want to make sure I recover and can come back fully without limitations or pain.”

Impact on Grand Prix Final

Siao Him Fa’s absence will undoubtedly impact the competition. He had qualified for the Grand Prix Final after strong performances at Grand Prix France and the Cup of China. His replacement will be Mikhail Shaidorov of Kazakhstan.

The Grand Prix Final is a highly anticipated event, gathering the world’s top figure skaters. It often serves as a preview for the upcoming World Championships. With Siao Him Fa out, the competition is poised to be even more intense, with reigning world champion Ilia Malinin and Olympic and world silver medalist Yuma Kagiyama among the top contenders.
