Jets Lock Up Young Talent Perfetti

The Winnipeg Jets have secured the future of one of their top prospects, signing forward Cole Perfetti to a two-year contract worth $6.5 million. The deal has an average annual value of $3.25 million.

Perfetti, 22, was a restricted free agent and had been absent from training camp due to contract negotiations. Despite missing the start of camp, the young forward has shown great promise in his NHL career.

Last season, Perfetti set career highs in goals (19) and points (38) in 71 games. He has quickly established himself as a scoring threat and a valuable asset for the Jets.

Originally drafted 10th overall by Winnipeg in 2020, Perfetti has accumulated 75 points (29 goals, 46 assists) in 140 regular-season games. While he has yet to make a significant impact in the playoffs, his regular-season success suggests a bright future ahead.

This contract extension solidifies Perfetti’s long-term future with the Jets and demonstrates the team’s commitment to developing their young talent. With Perfetti locked up, the Jets are poised for continued success in the years to come.
