The Vegas Golden Knights edged out a close victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Saturday night, winning 4-3 in overtime. Brett Howden scored the game-winning goal at 2:15 in the extra frame, securing Vegas’ eighth straight home win and keeping their perfect home record intact.
Utah jumped out to an early lead with goals from Logan Cooley and Ian Cole. Vegas battled back with goals from Pavel Dorofeyev (assisted by Tomas Hertl on his 500th career NHL point) and Noah Hanifin. William Karlsson put the Golden Knights ahead in the third period, but Alex Kerfoot tied it up for Utah with under seven minutes remaining.
