5 Skills Named After Olympic Gymnasts
November 05, 2024

Isabeau Levito, the talented American figure skater and world silver medalist, has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the upcoming Finlandia Trophy. The announcement came on Monday, casting doubt on her immediate future in the 2024-2025 figure skating season.
While no specific reason has been given for her withdrawal, the news is undoubtedly disappointing for fans and the figure skating community. Levito’s strong performance at Skate America, where she won the short program, had raised expectations for her season.
With this withdrawal, Levito’s participation in the Grand Prix Final is now uncertain. Her next significant competition is likely to be the U.S. National Championships in January.
Loena Hendrickx of Belgium, the reigning European champion, has also withdrawn from the Finlandia Trophy. Her absence from the Grand Prix circuit raises questions about her competitive plans for the season.
The focus now shifts to the NHK Trophy in Tokyo, where the remaining skaters will compete for valuable points and a spot in the Grand Prix Final.
